In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, students returned to school with a host of unprecedented behavior challenges. In effort to support their students through this challenging time, Waxpool Elementary School asked Fun and Function to create a sensory space that would proactively target behavioral concerns. The room design included an expert-picked selection of equipment and therapeutic tools that would allow every student to engage in personalized sensory experiences, helping them to grow and thrive.
The finished space exceeded expectations and Principal Mike Pellegrino reports that students are accessing the room as planned!
